Stockport United Against Austerity is a non party-political umbrella organisation made up of local people, trade unionists and groups who are campaigning against the injustices produced by austerity cuts.
We are committed to working together cooperatively to alleviate the hardships and divisions in society and the damage to the environment that have all been made significantly worse by these cuts.
We will campaign, in co-ordination with similar anti-austerity groups around the UK to keep our public services and to oppose privatisation which puts profits before people.
We oppose all scapegoating, stigmatisation and racism and believe that all people should have a decent quality of life with access to the health care and social security they need; affordable housing; a living wage and legal justice”.
